Job description
Role Overview
This position involves conducting thorough user research to pinpoint pain areas, applying design principles and heuristics to enhance product accessibility and ease of use, and creating high-fidelity, user-friendly designs. The UX Designer will craft interfaces across multiple platforms such as mobile, desktop, voice, and conversational systems, integrating universal design methods to promote inclusivity.
Main Responsibilities
- Carry out user research, analyze outcomes, and identify user pain points.
- Utilize design heuristics and information architecture to boost accessibility and navigability.
- Produce detailed, intuitive product designs.
- Create interfaces adaptable to diverse platforms including mobile, desktop, voice, and conversational experiences.
- Apply universal design techniques to cater to all users inclusively.
- Conduct usability testing to confirm product effectiveness and usefulness.
- Develop design solutions for varied use cases while ensuring alignment with the existing design system.
- Comprehend user journeys and convert insights into user flows and prototypes from low to high fidelity.
- Present design ideas and workflows to business and IT teams for collaborative feedback and agreement.
- Manage business and regulatory compliance risks by implementing appropriate preventative measures.
- Stay updated on industry trends, compliance rules, emerging tech, and potential risks.
- Proactively communicate risks and share recommendations for managing them.
- Undertake additional related duties as necessary.
Candidate Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
- At least two years of experience in Interaction Design or User Experience design with a strong portfolio demonstrating methodical, innovative design thinking and thorough understanding of UI/UX principles.
- Strong grasp of information design, information architecture, and user behavior psychology.
- Competency in graphic design, motion graphics, and digital art applications.
- Prior experience collaborating within cross-functional teams and working through extensive software development processes such as Agile and Waterfall.
- Excellent spoken and written communication abilities.
- High standards of integrity, responsible work ethic, and a cooperative mindset.
- Proactive about process improvements and flexible in adapting to changes.
