Role Overview
This underwriter position is a full-time, on-location role based in Riyadh. The individual will be responsible for assessing insurance applications by analyzing associated risks and determining suitable coverage terms, conditions, and premium pricing in accordance with the organization's guidelines. Daily tasks involve scrutinizing documents, interpreting policy language, liaising with insurers and clients, and ensuring adherence to both regulatory and internal standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate insurance applications and risk profiles to establish appropriate coverage and pricing.
- Review and interpret policy documentation with precision.
- Coordinate effectively between clients, insurers, and internal teams to maintain clear communication.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal underwriting policies.
- Prepare detailed underwriting reports and keep accurate records.
- Contribute to the advancement and refinement of underwriting procedures and product offerings.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong analytical skills, including the capability to assess financial, technical, and market data for underwriting decisions.
- In-depth understanding of insurance principles, policy frameworks, and the Saudi regulatory environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to clearly explain decisions and collaborate with relevant parties.
- Keen attention to detail and strong organizational abilities to manage documents and deadlines.
- Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and a customer-centric approach.
- Proficiency in standard office applications and insurance management software; knowledge of data analysis tools is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in insurance, finance, business administration, or a related discipline.
- Relevant professional certifications such as IFCE are desirable.
- Previous experience in underwriting is required.
