Role Overview
This full-time, on-site Trip Planner position is based in Kochi, Kerala. The planner will be responsible for creating personalized travel itineraries, advising on destinations and activities, and organizing key logistics including transport, lodging, and local engagements. Interaction with clients to understand their preferences, budgets, and travel aims is essential; these insights are then transformed into coherent travel plans. Collaboration with local vendors and partners is a daily aspect, along with managing bookings, tracking journeys for quality assurance, handling requests or alterations, and providing support throughout client travels.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Capability to develop detailed and practical travel schedules and itineraries.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on clear communication, attentive listening, and client-centered service.
- Familiarity with domestic and global travel options, especially focusing on Kochi and nearby areas.
- Competence in utilizing travel planning software, reservation platforms, and general office productivity tools.
- Excellent organizational aptitude and time management, able to juggle multiple itineraries concurrently.
- Ability to solve problems efficiently, managing last-minute adjustments, disruptions, and specific client needs.
- Willingness and ability to work on-site in Kochi and engage closely with local service providers.
- Previous experience in travel coordination, hospitality, or customer service sectors is preferred.
- A diploma or college-level qualification in Travel, Tourism, Hospitality Management, or related fields is advantageous.
- Flexibility to occasionally extend working hours to accommodate client travel schedules.
