As a Travel Coordinator, you will be crucial in organizing both travel and accommodation logistics for project personnel, ensuring that solutions meet project demands efficiently and cost-effectively. This role involves collaboration with internal teams, accommodation vendors, landowners, local businesses, and other key stakeholders to manage current and future lodging needs.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage accommodation bookings, adjustments, extensions, and cancellations for project staff.
- Support travel arrangements including flights and related logistics.
- Plan accommodation aligned with workforce forecasts, schedules, and project objectives.
- Track accommodation usage to optimize cost efficiency.
- Partner with Corporate Traveller and other travel service providers to arrange workforce travel.
- Work closely with site management and operational teams regarding workforce movement and accommodation.
- Promptly address and resolve issues related to accommodation and travel.
- Maintain comprehensive records, documentation, and administrative processes compliant with project and joint venture standards.
Desired Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in roles such as Site Administrator, Project Administrator, or Travel/Accommodation Coordinator, preferably in construction, infrastructure, mining, or similar project-based environments.
- Proven ability managing large-scale accommodation, travel, and workforce logistics coordination.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the capability to maintain accurate reports and tracking systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, notably Excel, Outlook and Teams.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proactive mindset with problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic project setting.
About the HumeLink East Project
In collaboration with Genus, ACCIONA is delivering the HumeLink East Joint Venture, a major infrastructure project worth billions. The venture entails expanding and upgrading southern New South Wales’ electricity transmission network, including construction of 237 km of 500kV double circuit overhead lines and enhancement of the Bannaby 500kV substation. This project aims to reinforce grid reliability and facilitate the integration of renewable energy sources into the National Electricity Market.
