Job description
Role Overview
The Title Specialist I is responsible for the precise and timely handling of vehicle titles. This involves verifying the accuracy of title data, staying updated on relevant vehicle title laws, and liaising with clients as well as regulatory bodies to resolve any title-related issues.
Key Duties
- Examine vehicle titles to confirm negotiability and manage signing and reassignment for buyers and sellers.
- Prepare new title applications on clients’ behalf when needed.
- Manage lien perfection processes on NextGear Capital financed vehicles as required.
- Release liens for vehicles fully paid off in line with company policies.
- Respond to client inquiries regarding title matters.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED certification.
- Typically less than two years of professional experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong communication skills coupled with excellent customer service orientation.
- Capability to sit and stand for prolonged durations.
- Ability to bend and lift items weighing up to 10 pounds.
- Comfortable with extensive detailed work involving handwriting and computer entry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in vehicle titling is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Possession of a Notary license is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills enabling multitasking and deadline adherence.
- Positive interpersonal skills and aptitude for superior customer service.
- Independence in task execution as well as effective teamwork ability.
- Proficient use of various computer functions and office equipment.
- Professional demeanor and a friendly approach to varied situations.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and individuals.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation ranges from $16.59 to $24.86 per hour, depending on location and candidate qualifications. Additional pay may include commissions or incentive programs. Employees receive at least sixteen hours of paid time off monthly plus seven paid holidays annually, along with other leave types such as bereavement, voting, jury duty, volunteer, military, and parental leave.
