Job description
Overview
PCL Industrial Services, Inc. seeks an onsite Timekeeper for a project based in Abilene, Texas. This role is vital for handling payroll and billing data activities including verifying time worked, data entry, reconciliation of payroll with billing reports, and managing billing through client systems. The position fosters a collaborative work environment within the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy workplace by following company and customer safety policies and alerting others to potential hazards.
- Confirm attendance records, hours worked, and pay adjustments, then accurately update designated records.
- Manage incoming phone communications as needed.
- Execute timekeeping tasks for assigned field personnel.
- Organize invoicing documents, contract letters, return confirmations, and memorandums, distributing them appropriately to management.
- Compile, validate, and input labor hours, per diem, mileage, and equipment data into payroll and billing systems.
- Reconcile payroll, billing, and client system information to ensure accuracy and facilitate timely payment processing.
- Serve as a liaison and support contact between employees and other departments.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Three to five years of experience in construction accounting, timekeeping, or a related field.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Proficient with Microsoft applications including Word, Access, and Excel.
- Strong computer, verbal, and written communication skills.
Work Schedule and Compensation
- Hourly rate between $19 and $24.
- Current schedule of Monday to Saturday with four 10-hour shifts weekly, potentially changing to six 10-hour shifts based on project demands.
