Role Overview
This position involves managing operations at the Dublin Joint Fuels Terminal, a facility in Dublin Port dedicated to the safe handling and distribution of refined petroleum products. The terminal operates continuously, requiring a dedicated team to manage its 24/7 shifts.
Core Responsibilities
- Supervise shipping activities, specifically overseeing the unloading of petroleum tankers.
- Manage storage tanks to ensure efficient and safe containment of fuel products.
- Oversee truck loading operations to maintain safety and accuracy.
- Assess and review risk assessments and method statements related to terminal activities.
- Issue and manage work permits for maintenance contractors performing tasks on site.
- Monitor and control inventory levels for accurate fuel stock management.
- Participate in maintenance activities as necessary to support terminal operations.
- Handle alarm management and respond promptly to any alerts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Trade qualifications in any relevant discipline.
- Health and safety certifications related to industrial or fuel storage environments.
- Experience with marine vessel offloading procedures.
- Background in bulk petroleum storage handling.
- Project management experience relevant to terminal operations.
Additional Information
The terminal staff operate on rotating shifts covering 24 hours a day, seven days a week to ensure continuous operation.
