Role Overview

The Tendering Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the entire tender lifecycle from opportunity identification to bid submission. This role demands a collaborative and detail-focused professional who can manage tender documentation, costing, BOQ analysis, and coordination with multiple departments. Experience with government and private tenders, especially on platforms such as GeM, CPPP, and various e-tender portals, is essential.

Primary Duties

  • Identify suitable tender opportunities across government and private channels.
  • Manage comprehensive tender preparation and timely bid submissions.
  • Analyze tender documents, including eligibility, specifications, BOQ, and commercial demands.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates, pricing, and commercial proposals.
  • Handle submissions on GeM, CPPP, and e-tender platforms.
  • Maintain thorough technical and commercial tender records.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Technical, Estimation, Finance, Purchase, Production, and Legal.
  • Track tender progress including corrigenda, clarifications, EMDs, and related paperwork.
  • Preserve organized records of tenders submitted and assist during tender openings and evaluations.
  • Support in assessing tender competitiveness and financial feasibility for management decision-making.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and government bodies regarding tender inquiries.
  • Ensure adherence to all tender specifications, conditions, and submission protocols.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven understanding of tendering and bidding methodologies.
  • Expertise in BOQ analysis, cost estimation, and commercial documentation.
  • Practical experience with GeM, CPPP, and various e-tender platforms.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and general MS Office applications.
  • Strong analytical ability and documentation skills.
  • Exceptional coordination and communication capabilities.
  • Ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
