Role Purpose

The Technical Leader is accountable for diagnosing and testing vehicles to identify issues, determining necessary repairs, and ensuring that repairs are executed correctly on the first attempt. Additionally, this role involves conducting thorough final inspections of repairs to uphold high customer satisfaction standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Confirm repair symptoms with customers to ensure awareness and agreement on the work needed.
• Perform diagnostics to identify causes of vehicle issues, determine repairs, and specify required parts.
• Halt repair operations if the cause of the symptom is unclear and consult the Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) Regional Office for support.
• Place identification markers on vehicles for repair or maintenance to guide the designated technician accurately.
• Carry out final inspections of completed repairs to verify quality and customer satisfaction.
• Check availability of repair parts with Parts Advisor prior to commencing repair work.
• Communicate repair details and estimated completion times clearly to customers, ensuring their understanding and approval.
• Refer repair tasks to appropriate technicians according to skill boards and verify resolution with customers.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum vocational or technical school certification or equivalent qualification.
• At least 10 years of hands-on experience in the automotive industry.
• Competent computer skills.
