Role Summary

The Technical Account Manager (TAM) acts as a proactive technical partner for customers, assisting during and after Veeam product implementations. This role's mission is to help clients maximize the benefits of Veeam’s solutions and provide trusted advisory services. The TAM oversees planning, architectural design, coordination, and management of post-sales technical activities, focusing on availability solutions such as data protection and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver consulting and support services tailored to Veeam solution design and execution.
• Manage projects effectively with comprehensive plans, schedules, communications, resource allocation, and status tracking.
• Participate in solution assessment and design and address post-installation challenges.
• Estimate efforts related to Veeam solution implementations.
• Develop white papers, solution documents, best practices, and custom materials.
• Conduct onsite knowledge transfer sessions about Veeam products.
• Document system configurations and completed tasks meticulously.
• Analyze client environments and recommend optimal Veeam configurations.
• Serve as the communication bridge between clients and Veeam support teams.
• Identify additional client needs that Veeam products can resolve.
• Contribute suggestions to enhance internal processes and documentation.
• Travel involving overnight stays to fulfill company objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in the IT sector.
• Certifications such as VMware VCP, Microsoft MCSE, or equivalent professional expertise.
• Project management certifications like Prince 2, ITIL, PMP, or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor's degree in technology or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
• Hands-on expertise with core Veeam products.
• Strong background in consulting and project management roles.
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
• Deep understanding of virtualization platforms including VMware and Hyper-V.
• Experience working with advanced storage technologies such as Nimble, Nexsan, Actifio, and Veeam.
• Practical knowledge of networking protocols and devices including Fiber Channel, Ethernet, and Cloud services.
• Familiarity with traditional storage and backup infrastructures like EMC, NetApp, IBM, HP/3PAR, Hitachi, and Dell.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise applications such as Exchange, SQL, and Oracle.
• Expertise in data management, protection, and analytics.
• Experience working with Kubernetes platforms.
• Comprehensive knowledge of data centers, business continuity, and operating systems.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and client accounts successfully.
• Working familiarity with cloud technologies and associated protocols.
• Understanding of security technologies and concepts.
