Overview
The Team Leader plays a vital role within the management team, assisting the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in overseeing the daily functions of a retail store.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide store associates to ensure effective team performance.
- Manage store merchandising activities, including shelf stocking and handling daily shipment unpacking.
- Maintain high standards of customer service.
- Execute manager-on-duty responsibilities such as overseeing breaks, timekeeping, and attendance.
- Implement and uphold visual merchandising policies.
- Handle customer complaints promptly and facilitate resolutions.
- Ensure store safety and cleanliness are preserved.
- Perform cash handling along with store opening and closing tasks as necessary.
- Engage in inventory management and provide training to employees.
- Follow up on delegated tasks and assist with recruitment and performance evaluation processes.
Qualifications
- At least one year of retail experience.
- Between one and two years’ experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Motivated to advance within the company.
- Availability to work days, evenings, and weekends.
- Excellent leadership and communication capabilities.
- Capacity to juggle multiple responsibilities comfortably in a busy retail environment.
