Job Overview
The role involves supporting science education through preparation and management of teaching materials and laboratory resources, assisting in lessons and activities, and providing logistical and administrative aid across school departments.
Key Duties
- Arrange and prepare resources for science instruction and learning.
- Set up and facilitate science classes, experiments, and hands-on activities.
- Assist teachers and pupils during science lessons to enhance learning experiences.
- Maintain the organization of the science laboratory and the Maker Space facilities.
- Support the coordination and logistics of various science-related programs, contests, and special events.
- Offer general administrative support to various school sections beyond science.
- Contribute to Co-Curricular Activities (CCA), notably supporting the Eco Makers Club.
- Assist on an as-needed basis with duties in the library and General Office.
- Carry out physical tasks including lifting and arranging equipment required for activities and lessons.
- Work collaboratively with staff and students while managing numerous tasks efficiently.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a minimum educational qualification of Secondary school level or equivalent (e.g., GCE O or A Levels).
- Experience working within a primary school science environment is advantageous.
- Must be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Capable of working autonomously as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Exhibit strong time management and ability to multitask effectively.
- Prioritize responsibilities and adhere to set deadlines.
- Physically able to perform tasks involving lifting and equipment setup.
- Have a friendly demeanor and effective interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrate high integrity and a proactive, positive approach to work.
