Role Description

The position is a full-time, on-site teaching role based in Harare. The teacher will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering lessons that are engaging and in line with the school’s educational standards. This includes supporting learners of varying abilities by challenging them appropriately. Daily tasks involve assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, maintaining detailed records, and partnering with colleagues to promote both academic and holistic development. The role also requires creating a classroom atmosphere that encourages positivity, inclusiveness, discipline, respect, curiosity, and critical thinking. Additional responsibilities include participating in school events, engaging in meetings with parents or guardians, and contributing to co-curricular activities that enhance the overall learner experience.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Strong educational foundation in teaching with effective application of pedagogical principles.
• Competence in lesson planning and training, designing structured learning activities tailored to student development.
• Excellent communication abilities for interaction with students, peers, and parents.
• Relevant teaching qualification or degree in Education or a related discipline; professional certification is advantageous.
• Experience teaching at primary or secondary levels; knowledge of ZIMSEC and/or Cambridge curricula preferred.
• Ability to maintain an inclusive, learner-focused environment and manage classroom behavior in a positive manner.
• Strong organizational aptitude, dependability, and a commitment to ongoing professional growth.
