Overview
A leading and reputable professional services firm is looking to hire an experienced Tax Manager specializing in compliance to strengthen their expanding tax division. This role offers an excellent career advancement prospect within a collaborative and dynamic environment. You will work with a broad client portfolio spanning multiple industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee a diverse client portfolio primarily focusing on corporate tax compliance, and assist with personal income tax and VAT compliance when needed.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation, review, and submission of all tax returns and compliance filings.
- Review and supervise compliance activities prepared by junior staff, providing guidance to uphold superior quality and precision.
- Serve as the main client contact by addressing tax compliance inquiries, managing Revenue communications, and updating clients about relevant tax law changes.
- Perform comprehensive technical tax research and assist with advisory tasks to deliver precise and practical tax advice.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to ensure seamless service delivery to clients.
- Mentor and develop junior team members through coaching, training involvement, and performance support.
- Drive continuous improvement of compliance workflows including adopting tax technologies and efficiency measures.
- Contribute to managing work progress, billing, and collections to meet departmental objectives.
Qualifications and Skills
- Qualified Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA); accounting credentials are advantageous but not mandatory.
- At least two years of post-qualification experience in tax compliance, preferably within a professional services context.
- In-depth knowledge of Irish corporate and personal tax compliance rules.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Proven capability in managing client relationships and delivering top-quality service.
- Proactive team player with a solutions-oriented attitude.
- Meticulous attention to detail and competent in handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- An interest in tax technology, process enhancements, and innovation is a plus.
