We are seeking a full-time, permanent Tax Manager to join our Dublin-based corporate tax department reporting to the Tax Director. This position offers a blend of technical compliance, advisory responsibilities, client interaction, and leadership opportunities, ideally suited for candidates recently promoted to Tax Manager level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee, review, and finalize corporation tax returns and associated filings for corporate client portfolios.
  • Provide advisory services on capital taxes for corporate and personal clients, focusing on identifying reliefs and tax planning opportunities.
  • Offer guidance on capital gains tax topics, researching reliefs and strategies for tax efficiency.
  • Deliver value-added advice on VAT and indirect taxes, particularly regarding property transactions.
  • Prepare tax planning documentation and manage advisory projects across various taxation areas.
  • Conduct detailed research on complex tax issues, including R&D tax credits and Interest Limitation Rules, ensuring pragmatic client advice.
  • Manage and complete income tax and partnership tax returns within a private client portfolio.
  • Handle Revenue Authority interactions, including compliance notifications and enquiries.
  • Identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities within compliance portfolios, coordinating with broader firm teams.

Experience and Technical Expertise

  • CTA-qualified tax professional with at least three years of post-qualification experience in tax or accounting practices.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Irish corporate tax laws, supplemented by experience across diverse tax areas.
  • Client-focused approach combined with practical, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Proven ability to independently manage a spectrum of clients and meet critical deadlines.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills facilitating effective client relationships.
  • Proficiency with IT applications including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Revenue Online Service (ROS), and virtual communication platforms (Teams/Zoom).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with international business clients.
  • Knowledge of cross-border tax challenges and solutions.
  • Familiarity with tax-related technology and automation tools.
  • Background in business development activities.
