The company creates advanced solutions powering cloud services, cybersecurity, and versatile software and hardware platforms used globally across millions of users and enterprises.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop comprehensive models and validation firmware/software targeting various silicon components such as boot ROMs, PCIe, USB interfaces, and compute clusters.
- Take ownership of the technical advancement of modeling, embedded firmware, and software projects.
- Work closely alongside hardware and software architects to establish precise specifications and ensure smooth integration at the system level.
- Guide and support junior engineers in software and firmware development, fostering best practice engineering methodologies.
- Engage in thorough design and code reviews to uphold high standards for maintainability and quality.
- Enhance performance and reliability through systematic debugging and optimization initiatives.
- Create detailed technical documentation covering models, APIs, and workflows.
- Contribute actively within a diverse, multidisciplinary team in a collaborative work environment.
- Effectively communicate project progress, potential challenges, and risks to stakeholders and management.
Candidate Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical disciplines.
- Minimum of five years of embedded software development professional experience.
- Expertise in C and C++ programming languages, along with practical SystemC experience and enthusiasm for developing low-level hardware interfacing software.
- Comprehensive understanding of operating system components including drivers, memory management, bootloaders, and schedulers, complemented by robust debugging abilities (using tools like GDB).
- Demonstrable capacity to translate complex and unclear objectives into explicit requirements, architectural designs, APIs, and delivery milestones, with clear stakeholder communication.
- Hands-on experience with mainstream SystemC simulation environments such as Virtualizer or Helium, and scripting proficiency in languages like Python or PowerShell.
- A successful history of delivering products integrating firmware or embedded software, ideally developed during pre-silicon phases.
- Relevant domain knowledge in one or more areas such as device drivers, DMA, PCIe, NVMe, multimedia decoders, networking components, memory controller/training, boot procedures, or power management.
- Fluency in English for professional communication.
