Job description
Role Overview
We seek a dedicated Sustainability Manager to spearhead and synchronize sustainability efforts aligned with our entity’s objectives, compliance demands, and enduring environmental and social impact goals. This role demands crafting sustainability strategies, setting measurable targets, and collaborating with diverse teams to embed sustainability into daily business operations and strategic decisions.
Key Duties
- Oversee sustainability initiatives encompassing energy conservation, carbon footprint reduction, waste management, efficient resource utilization, sustainable procurement, and ethical business conduct.
- Develop and enhance sustainability policies, standards, protocols, and performance metrics.
- Collect, examine, and authenticate sustainability-related data and deliver comprehensive reports and updates to management.
- Support sustainability disclosures while ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Keep up to date with environmental laws, standards, reporting frameworks, and sector trends.
- Engage collaboratively with internal teams, suppliers, collaborators, and external stakeholders to elevate sustainability awareness and foster ongoing advancement.
- Lead sustainability assessments, audits, risk analysis, and initiatives to bolster environmental stewardship and organizational resilience.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Business, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- In-depth knowledge of sustainability theories, environmental governance, ESG factors, and responsible corporate practices.
- Expertise in carbon management, energy utilization, waste minimization, resource optimization, and environmental metrics.
- Acquainted with sustainability reporting standards, frameworks, and regulatory compliance criteria.
- Capability to gather, analyze, validate, and interpret environmental and sustainability data.
- Exceptional project coordination and organizational skills to juggle multiple projects effectively.
- Detail-oriented analytical aptitude with robust problem-solving skills ensuring data integrity.
- Strong verbal and written communication, along with effective stakeholder engagement proficiency.
- Adeptness at preparing clear reports, presentations, policies, and relevant documentation on sustainability matters.
- Collaborative approach with the ability to influence cross-departmental teams towards sustainability targets.
- Comprehensive understanding of sustainability risks, opportunities, measurable objectives, and performance evaluation.
- Proactive and committed to ongoing enhancement with practical, actionable sustainability solutions.
Minimum education
Bachelor's Degree
