Key Responsibilities

• Build supportive and trusting relationships with people with intellectual disabilities.
• Facilitate learning new skills and achieving personal goals tailored to individuals' aspirations.
• Encourage participation in community life and help individuals connect with local opportunities.
• Provide physical support where necessary to ensure safety and promote independence.
• Use technology, including computers and tablets, as part of daily support activities.

Candidate Requirements

• No previous health or disability sector experience required - full training and orientation will be provided.
• A positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow within the role.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, overnight, and weekends as part of 24/7 service provision.
• Competent use of computers and tablets on a daily basis.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Physical fitness suitable for providing hands-on support when needed.
• Possession of a full New Zealand driver’s license.
