Supply Planner

Overview

This Supply Planner role is an initial 12-month fixed-term contract based in Limerick, Ireland, requiring a hybrid or onsite presence with a minimum of three days per week on site. The position involves collaborating across departments such as production scheduling, procurement, and customer service to deliver an integrated supply planning strategy for the franchise.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing a Master Resource Plan reflecting the latest demand forecasts to ensure production and procurement of finished products, along with sufficient raw materials and components, covering up to a 24-month horizon.
• Help prepare capacity plans to identify potential supply chain bottlenecks or risks and propose mitigation strategies to ensure manufacturing facilities and third-party partners can meet future demand, while also identifying areas of underutilization that may affect supply costs.
• Initially oversee a limited selection of products or portfolio segments, receiving close supervision and coaching to develop supply planning expertise.
• Work under the guidance of the Supply Planning Manager to determine appropriate inventory levels (safety stocks) by analyzing demand variability and supply lead times.
• Monitor the supply plan's execution alongside production scheduling and purchasing teams, ensuring alignment with operational targets, timely mitigation of back orders, and proactive communication of supply risks.
• Manage the phasing in and out of products within the supply plan, coordinating timely communication regarding portfolio status to internal stakeholders.
• Support effective communication back to demand planning through daily, weekly, and monthly review processes to confirm supply capabilities in meeting business requirements.
• Maintain and update core supply planning master data to concentrate efforts on actual supply challenges.
• Key performance indicators include supply plan attainment, safety stock health, capacity utilization, back orders, and lead time management.
• Conduct root cause analysis of supply performance issues and advise the Supply Planning Manager with recommendations to prevent recurrence and improve process sustainability.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Possess a Level 8 degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
• Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in production, supply, or demand planning roles demonstrating relevant planning knowledge and skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze and interpret large datasets to support operational decision-making.
• Experience within a manufacturing environment is advantageous.

Compensation

The salary range for this position in Ireland is approximately €47,000 to €77,000 annually. Candidates may also be eligible for incentive compensation such as bonuses or commissions, alongside a comprehensive benefits package.
