Storekeeper

Position Overview

The Storekeeper will be responsible for receiving, organizing, and distributing merchandise to various departments within the facility. This role involves handling deliveries, managing inventory requisitions, ensuring proper storage and rotation of perishables, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Receive and stage merchandise by department, labeling appropriately before distribution.
• Stack merchandise securely on pallets or carts for transport.
• Fill out inventory and supply requisition forms accurately.
• Promptly inform supervisors about low stock levels to maintain adequate inventory.
• Inspect incoming deliveries for freshness, cleanliness, consistency, and overall quality and reject any damaged or incorrect items.
• Properly store perishables following food safety and handling protocols.
• Organize, sanitize, and clean refrigerators, freezers, floors, food equipment, and drains regularly.
• Dispose of empty pallets, cardboard, and trash in designated areas to maintain orderly storage spaces.
• Report workplace accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management and complete all necessary safety training and certifications.
• Adhere to company policies, maintain a professional appearance, and protect confidential and company assets.
• Maintain courteous and professional communication with guests and colleagues.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve shared objectives.
• Comply with quality assurance standards and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds, navigating confined or uneven spaces, and standing or walking for entire shifts.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• Experience: No prior related work or supervisory experience required.
• Certification: No specific licenses or certifications required.
