Role Overview
We seek a motivated, hands-on Retail Store Person who thrives on being active in a team setting. This dynamic position is key to smooth store operations, from the shop floor to warehouse management, involving customer interaction and logistical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Carefully loading weekly shipments including trucks and containers.
- Assisting customers with their order pickups to ensure a smooth and pleasant experience.
- Supporting sales staff by moving stock to and from the sales floor.
- Accurately entering received goods into the operating systems.
- Assembling furniture with meticulous attention to detail.
- Adhering to and promoting all Occupational Health & Safety standards.
- Maintaining an organized, clean, and safe store and warehouse environment.
- Collaborating as a proactive team member, using initiative and problem-solving in a fast-paced setting.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Prior experience in warehouse and distribution support roles.
- Basic computer proficiency including email and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Genuine enthusiasm for customer service and achieving results.
- Physical ability to handle furniture products that require lifting, carrying, and moving items of various sizes safely.
- Strong communication skills along with reliability, commitment, and a proactive work ethic.
