Job Role Overview
We are seeking a Store Manager located in North Vancouver, British Columbia, offering a starting wage of $24.07 per hour. In this role, you will mentor and lead your store team to deliver exceptional customer service, assisting pet owners in selecting ideal nutrition and care products. Being part of a dedicated team passionate about pets, you will grow your skills within one of North America's leading pet retail companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that all customer service standards are consistently upheld by the staff.
- Foster positive community relationships, including working with organizations such as the Humane Society.
- Manage employee recruitment, scheduling, training, task delegation, supervision, and coaching.
- Ensure compliance with corporate operational procedures and standards.
- Oversee administrative tasks such as order placements, inventory management, store and safety audits, minor repairs, and paperwork completion.
- Coordinate team efforts to achieve the store's financial and operational goals.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Candidate Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in customer service and retail store management.
- A strong enthusiasm for advancing within the pet care sector.
- Outgoing, friendly personality coupled with excellent customer service skills.
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as scheduled.
- Reliable transportation to and from the store.
- Capability to observe, coach, and provide feedback to staff on sales techniques and customer service.
- Ability to recognize and manage internal conflicts appropriately, escalating when necessary.
- Working knowledge of point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Physical ability to repeatedly lift 50 pounds.
- Experience in the pet industry is considered an advantage.
