Role Purpose

This role exists to amplify our team’s capacity beyond mere execution by offering senior technical leverage. You will autonomously lead complex, ambiguous projects that span multiple product areas, ensuring faster shipping of in-demand features while disseminating vital knowledge to reduce single points of failure within the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of foundational platform components, including infrastructure, identity management, integration, and system reliability.
• Collaborate closely with domain experts to spread knowledge, document critical information, and foster shared system ownership.
• Contribute flexibly across diverse product lines beyond the core platform, adapting as priorities evolve.
• Enhance technical standards and execution to elevate the entire development team’s effectiveness.
• Transform vague problem statements into well-defined tasks and deliver working software solutions.

Required Qualifications and Attributes

• Extensive software development experience showing judgment beyond code volume, understanding risk management, simplification, and prioritization.
• Independent and proactive approach to work in uncertain, dynamic environments with minimal supervision.
• Versatility to work across full technology stacks, including Ruby on Rails, TypeScript with React, Python, APIs, data pipelines, and platform infrastructure.
• Proven technical leadership skills that improve peer work through thoughtful code reviews and influence without formal management duties.
• Pragmatic focus on building functional, maintainable systems that enhance team success collectively rather than individual achievement.

Preferred Experience

• Background in B2B SaaS products targeted at technical or engineering users.
• Experience with developer tooling, workflow platforms, integrations, identity services, or platform infrastructure.
• Track record of reducing key-person dependencies in legacy or sparsely documented systems.
• Comfort working within distributed or asynchronous teams.
