About the Role

The Splunk Senior Security Solutions Architect acts as a foremost expert in Splunk Security products and the wider cybersecurity ecosystem. This position supports sales and pre-sales teams by designing tailored security solutions to meet customer needs, serving as a critical advisor to enhance organizational security posture.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and nurture strong, ongoing relationships with clients and business partners.
• Collaborate intimately with account teams to align sales strategies, including conducting technical briefings, product demonstrations, proposal drafting, Proof of Value deployments, integration efforts, and resolving security product issues.
• Engage with clients to comprehend their security architecture and goals, mapping these priorities effectively to Splunk’s security offerings.
• Demonstrate Splunk’s security tools and services in-person, remotely via webinars, and at industry events like conferences and trade shows.
• Respond comprehensively to functional and technical requests such as RFIs and RFPs.
• Lead troubleshooting and integration problem resolution in a hands-on capacity.
• Exhibit proactive motivation combined with substantial experience in technical software sales and security technology knowledge.
• Possess strong collaborative skills, dynamic presentation abilities, and clear, professional communication across email and formal RFP reports.
• Maintain a genuine curiosity for technological possibilities, a positive approach, and enthusiasm to contribute within a vibrant team environment.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Splunk Certified Administrator credential or equivalent capability to manage Splunk Enterprise environments.
• Minimum of five years in roles such as pre-sales engineering, systems integration, or comparable cybersecurity positions.
• Knowledge of current cyber threats, malware, incident response methodologies, SIEM platforms, automation tools, endpoint technologies, and threat intelligence solutions.
• Experience with operating systems including Windows and Unix/Linux.
• Proficiency with networking components like firewalls, proxies, routing, and switching.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise software such as antivirus, email security, vulnerability management, threat intelligence platforms, and databases.
• Demonstrated ability to work with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with scripting languages, specifically Python.
• Preferably holds professional cybersecurity certifications such as SANS GIAC, CISSP, or CISM.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills tailored for diverse audiences ranging from technical staff to executive leadership.
