Role Overview

This position involves overseeing and managing the day-to-day activities of drivers and equipment operators. The aim is to guarantee safe, efficient, and compliant transportation and operation of plant and equipment across various company projects and client sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise daily operations of drivers and plant equipment operators.
• Assign staff and machinery based on project demands.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, site rules, and safety standards by all personnel.
• Maintain clear communication with on-site teams and project managers.
• Troubleshoot operational challenges and escalate when necessary.
• Organize and track equipment delivery and pick-up schedules efficiently.
• Liaise with workshops, project sites, and customers to monitor equipment readiness and status.
• Confirm transport activities comply with safety and efficiency standards.
• Manage accurate collection and timely submission of operator timesheets.
• Oversee proper documentation for deliveries and collections, ensuring all paperwork is signed and filed.
• Prepare operational reports and maintain records related to equipment movements.
• Verify credentials, licenses, and skill certifications for operators before deployment.
• Keep updated records on operator qualifications and expiry dates.
• Ensure compliance with company regulations, transport laws, and HSE standards.
• Assist in audits and compliance verifications as required.
• Encourage and uphold safety practices consistently.
• Promptly report incidents, near-misses, or any breaches of compliance.

Qualifications & Experience

• Professional certification in Supply Chain or Logistics.
• Familiarity with Saudi Arabian transport laws and fleet compliance standards.
• A minimum of 2 years experience in supervisory or leadership roles.
• Background in managing logistics within construction, heavy machinery, industrial, or manufacturing sectors.
• Understanding of transport and lifting operations.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental requirements for plant and transport work.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational tracking software.
• Prior experience in plant hire, construction logistics, transport coordination, or fleet management.
• Experience in coordinating drivers and plant operators.
• Competence in processing timesheets and logistics documentation.
• Awareness of operator competency and licensing rules.
