Role Overview
This role is responsible for leading the design, execution, and upkeep of competency development initiatives aligned with ADNOC Group's strategic goals. The aim is to foster workforce skill development and nurture a culture focused on high performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and update competency development policies and practices to align with global best standards and departmental objectives.
- Collaborate with business leaders to formulate competency frameworks and career pathways to enhance employee capabilities conforming to strategic priorities.
- Ensure synchronization between competency standards and training programs to satisfy organizational needs.
- Identify training gaps based on role competencies and conduct consultative meetings with stakeholders to meet required standards.
- Implement competency-driven personal development plans specifically for UAE national employees to enhance their competencies.
- Coordinate with line management to schedule competency program activities aimed at achieving targeted skill levels.
- Contribute to the creation of comprehensive competency development reference materials of superior quality supporting program goals.
- Work with the Training department to design and execute on-the-job training across divisions, analyze outcomes, and adjust programs for continuous improvement aligned with business demands.
- Develop and monitor Competency Assurance Programs for UAE nationals per ADNOC's management systems.
- Periodically assess the Competency Development Framework and advise management on modifications to keep the framework relevant.
- Lead resolution efforts concerning CAMS or CBT implementation challenges in partnership with stakeholders to ensure program targets are met on time.
- Maintain strong engagement with ADNOC business leaders, serving as an internal advisor on competency development and fostering a learning culture.
- Participate in career development initiatives and identification of high-potential UAE nationals to prepare successors for critical roles aligning with ADNOC's strategic plans.
- Create competency matrices for headquarters staff and new hires to facilitate effective career ladder development and talent mobility options.
- Offer guidance on selecting and negotiating with training vendors to maximize return on investment for developmental programs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of progressive experience in Talent Development and Training, including leadership development, preferably within the oil and gas sector.
