Solar Engineer

Job Overview

Voltix Solar Systems is seeking a skilled Solar Project Engineer to join their team in Doha, Qatar. The role involves designing and managing various solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and ensuring their successful implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design solar PV systems including On-Grid, Off-Grid, and Hybrid configurations.
• Conduct load assessments, accurately size systems, and select appropriate equipment.
• Prepare single line diagrams (SLDs), bills of quantities (BOQs), technical drawings, and necessary project documentation.
• Choose and size components such as solar panels, inverters, batteries, cables, and protective devices.
• Perform site surveys and carry out technical evaluations.
• Oversee installation processes, testing phases, and system commissioning.
• Coordinate project execution and maintain adherence to quality standards.
• Identify and resolve system issues and offer technical support when needed.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy Engineering.
• Have at least five years of hands-on experience in solar PV systems and project delivery.
• Strong expertise in On-Grid, Off-Grid, Hybrid PV systems, and battery storage solutions.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and PVsyst software tools.
• Sound understanding of electrical design principles, cable sizing, protective systems, and SLD preparation.
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Experience working in Qatar or the broader GCC region is considered an advantage.

• Employment is full-time and requires working on-site in Doha, Qatar.
