Job Overview
This role involves developing software solutions by writing code that aligns with project requirements, adhering to established documentation and design standards. The developer creates necessary documentation that translates project requirements into precise software design specifications and remedies defects uncovered during quality assurance and systems testing phases.
Responsibilities
- Assist in gathering requirements and defining product specifications at project initiation.
- Support field testing and provide assistance after development completion.
- Contribute to establishing the architectural framework for various software applications.
- Occasionally guide quality assurance and laboratory support teams.
- Ensure the delivery of dependable code, comprehensive documentation, and sustained support.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates typically need a degree with 2 to 4 years of relevant experience or, alternatively, a combination of education and work experience amounting to 6 to 8 years, where one year of experience is considered equivalent to one year of education.
Work Environment and Reporting
The position operates under limited supervision, handling assigned tasks or parts of projects independently to devise effective strategies to meet objectives. May lead projects or research efforts featuring limited scope and complexity and usually reports to the Software Engineering Manager.
