About the Role
Join Speechify's Platform Team to design and maintain backend services critical to our text-to-speech suite, including payments, analytics, subscriptions, and APIs. You'll contribute to a globally distributed company that supports over 50 million users accessing Speechify's products on multiple platforms such as iOS, Android, Mac, Chrome, and Web App.
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and uphold reliable APIs, including public TTS APIs and internal services like Payment, Subscription, Authentication, and Consumption Tracking.
- Manage and improve the overall backend API infrastructure, focusing on scalability and performance.
- Partner with teams to develop B2B solutions tailored for enterprise client integrations and customization.
- Work collaboratively across functions to ensure backend architecture aligns with product strategy and enhances user experience.
Candidate Profile
- Strong proven experience with backend development using TypeScript and Node.js.
- Hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform and familiarity with cloud services such as AWS or Azure.
- Skilled at efficient task prioritization balancing urgency and impact.
- Preferred experience with Docker and container orchestration, notably deployment on Kubernetes clusters.
