Software Engineer - Live Streaming Player (C++)

The team focuses on designing and creating widely distributed systems that support low latency and high-quality end-to-end live streaming experiences on a global level. Team members leverage technical leadership skills combined with proficiency in coding, algorithms, and large-scale system development.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth analysis of business needs and design, develop efficient media processing pipelines integrated into the live streaming player SDKs.
• Improve and optimize live streaming player performance to ensure smooth and uninterrupted user experiences.
• Identify, debug, and resolve issues promptly within live online environments.
• Contribute actively to building and maintaining automation testing frameworks to maintain SDK quality and reliability.
• Analyze live streaming player data to spot areas for enhancement regarding performance, quality, and reliability; validate effectiveness of QoS and QoE A/B testing.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related software/system engineering discipline, or equivalent professional experience of at least 1 year.
• Proficiency in coding and reviewing mobile applications using C/C++ or Java.
• Understanding of audio and video processing technologies on iOS or Android platforms.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Computer Science or a comparable technical field, or at least 3 years of relevant industry experience.
• Hands-on experience developing and optimizing mobile audio and video modules in live player or pusher SDKs.
• Familiarity with coding standards and practices aimed at enhancing development productivity.
• Experience creating automation testing systems to assure SDK stability and quality.
• Motivation for continuous learning and staying updated on current industry trends and technologies.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills along with a proactive approach to ownership and accountability.
