Job description
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Quality Assurance teams, and stakeholders to fully comprehend business needs, functional specifications, and user stories.
- Design, implement, test, debug, and sustain high-performance software applications adhering to Java standards and superior engineering practices.
- Produce clean, scalable, reusable, and maintainable code while complying with coding standards and secure development protocols.
- Engage actively in architecture discussions, technical design evaluations, and sprint planning sessions.
- Create and carry out unit tests, as well as support integration and system tests to uphold software quality and dependability.
- Diagnose production issues, conduct thorough root cause analyses, and deliver prompt, effective solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge transfer activities within the development team.
- Develop and update technical documentation encompassing design blueprints, implementation details, and deployment processes.
- Collaborate efficiently within Agile/Scrum teams to deliver features on schedule and meet quality standards.
- Take ownership of specific modules or features driving ongoing improvements in performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Contribute to Proof of Concept projects, technical research spikes, and innovation efforts to assess new technologies and frameworks.
- Assist with CI/CD, build automation, and DevOps tasks as part of the software development lifecycle.
- Identify areas for product enhancement and proactively suggest technical improvements.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
- Between 2 and 4 years of professional software development experience in enterprise or product-based settings.
- Strong expertise in Java with hands-on experience in production-level application development.
- Comprehensive understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, data structures, algorithms, multithreading, concurrency, memory management, performance tuning, design patterns, and software engineering principles.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio and Azure DevOps platforms.
- Experience using version control systems such as TFS and Git.
- Competence with debugging and profiling tools, as well as unit testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, integration methodologies, and distributed system architecture is advantageous.
- Exposure to Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines and Agile/Scrum workflows.
- Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and effective communication.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
