Role Overview

Join JPMorgan Chase as a Software Engineer III in the Post Trade Technology team within Commercial and Investment Bank Technology. In this position, you will be an experienced contributor working within an agile team environment to design and deliver robust, secure, and scalable financial technology solutions. Your work will span multiple technical domains to support key business goals of the firm.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and troubleshoot software solutions with an innovative mindset beyond standard methods to address complex challenges.
  • Produce secure, reliable production-level code and maintain algorithms functioning synchronously with integrated systems.
  • Utilize company-approved AI-assisted coding tools to enhance code quality, accelerate development, and increase productivity, while ensuring output accuracy through peer reviews, automated testing, and secure coding standards.
  • Apply expertise in Software Development Life Cycle tools, including AI-driven development and automation capabilities, to maximize automation benefits.
  • Create architecture and design documentation for sophisticated applications, ensuring software development aligns with design constraints.
  • Analyze, consolidate, and visualize extensive, heterogeneous data sets to support continual software and system improvements.
  • Identify latent data patterns to recommend enhancements in code hygiene and overall system architecture.

Required Qualifications and Competencies

  • Formal education or certification in software engineering concepts with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in designing systems, application development, testing, and maintaining operational stability.
  • Proficient in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in large corporate environments using one or more modern programming and database query languages.
  • Practical experience leveraging enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools for coding, testing, debugging, or documentation, demonstrating the ability to critically assess and refine AI outputs for accuracy, performance, and security.
  • Understanding of responsible AI integration in engineering workflows, focusing on data sensitivity, secure data handling, resiliency, and security; capable of advising peers on compliant and effective AI usage.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle processes.
  • Strong grasp of agile methodologies including Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), application resiliency, and security principles.

Preferred Skills

  • In-depth understanding of the financial services sector and associated IT systems.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies.
