Role Overview

The position seeks a proficient Backend Developer with expertise in Java and Spring Boot to design and maintain scalable and efficient backend systems. The role involves working with cloud environments, primarily Azure, managing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring excellent application performance through problem-solving and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable backend microservices and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Utilize cloud platforms, particularly Azure, for deployment and infrastructure management.
• Implement and oversee automated build and deployment processes through CI/CD pipelines.
• Identify and resolve application issues by debugging and optimizing performance across software stacks.
• Collaborate closely with product teams, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver reliable software solutions.
• Ensure high code quality by adhering to best practices, performing testing, and conducting code reviews.
• Engage in architectural planning and technical decision-making to enhance system design.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Extensive experience with Java programming, Spring Boot framework, and microservices architectures.
• Proficiency with cloud service platforms, preferably Azure; familiarity with AWS or GCP is also acceptable.
• Hands-on expertise using CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Familiarity with AI-assistive tools including GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT.
• Knowledge of REST API development, system integrations, and distributed system concepts.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases along with version control using Git.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Experience working with containerization and orchestration tools including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of event-driven architectures, e.g., working with Kafka streams.
• Exposure to monitoring and logging solutions like Application Insights or ELK stack.
• Awareness of security best practices in software development.
• Experience working within Agile or Scrum project methodologies.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should hold degrees such as B.Sc, B.Tech/B.E., or B.C.A. in any specialization.
