Smart Meter Technician

About the Role

Finlay Jude Associates is hiring on behalf of a leading utilities company to fill Smart Meter Technician positions. No prior experience is necessary, as comprehensive training, necessary equipment, and a company vehicle will be supplied.

This role offers a promising pathway to establish a long-term career in the utilities sector. The technician will be responsible for the installation and exchange of smart water meters across the local water network, as well as uploading collected data through a company-issued tablet.

Primary Responsibilities

• Install and replace smart water meters at customers' premises
• Input and upload data using company-provided tablets and software applications
• Assist the team with multiple projects and initiatives, including network surveys and installations
• Manage successful delivery of small-scale projects and work packages
• Operate independently as a single technician in urban and suburban environments

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a positive attitude and strong commitment to work ethics
• Be physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Hold a reasonably clean UK driving license
• Available to work Monday through Friday for 40 hours weekly
• Reside within commuting distance to Bath (accommodation is not provided)
