Job description
Overview
Join a hardware architecture and modeling team at the core of Intel's IPU innovation, focused on developing models ranging from individual components to comprehensive system performance. This work empowers architects to assess design decisions, weigh trade-offs, and finalize plans before actual silicon fabrication.
Role Responsibilities
Collaborate extensively with architects and engineers from various fields to convert architectural ideas into simulation and modeling frameworks. These tools predict system behavior, performance metrics, scalability, and efficiency. This position integrates architecture, performance evaluation, modeling, and complex problem-resolution, offering exposure to advanced networking and data center technologies.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
- Minimum of 3 years practical experience in hardware modeling, architectural simulation, performance analysis, or allied sectors.
- Deep understanding of computer architecture and microarchitecture principles.
- Proficiency in system-level performance modeling including knowledge of bandwidth, latency, data movement, and bottleneck analysis.
- Familiarity with networking, packet processing, high-performance computing, or similar domains.
- Experience with contemporary AI-supported engineering tools and workflows.
Preferred Expertise
- Experience with system-on-chip (SoC), ASIC, CPU, networking, AI/ML accelerators, storage, or data center architectures.
- Exposure to designing simulation environments, virtual platforms, or performance modeling mechanisms.
- Knowledge of network packet processing, protocols, and large-scale architecture frameworks.
Compensation and Employment Details
The annual salary range for this Ireland-based role is between €63,300 and €98,800, depending on skills, experience, and education. Compensation includes additional components and benefits as part of the total package. This position supports a hybrid work model, allowing a balance between on-site presence at the Leixlip location and remote work.
