Shipping/Materials Handling Operator

Role Overview

We are looking for a Shipping/Materials Handling Operator to join our team in Letterkenny, County Donegal, Ireland. This role involves managing inventory, preparing shipments, and maintaining accurate records to support smooth production and sales operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Store materials appropriately in inventory for fulfilling future orders.
• Clearly document detailed inventory data manually and enter it into the computer system accurately.
• Use computer tools to verify stock availability, generate labels, and execute shipments.
• Clean and package materials either to be stocked or sent out to customers.
• Maintain open and responsive communication with Sales and Production departments to meet their requirements.
• Organize and keep raw materials and inventory areas neat and orderly.
• Manage recovery storage and segregation areas and prepare reclaimed materials for shipment.
• Ensure packaging is secure to guarantee safe transportation to destinations.
• Adhere strictly to written instructions related to customer orders and product labeling.
• Confirm that quantities are precise and align with packing slips and certifications.
• Complete all necessary export documentation as required.
• Use shipping scales to weigh packages and properly fill out carrier shipping paperwork.
• Assist with unloading incoming trucks containing materials.
• Maintain legible and accurate written records for traceability purposes.
• Ensure the workspace is clean and tidy at all times.
• Look after the upkeep of job and departmental tools and machines to keep them in proper working order.
• Be prepared to drive company vehicles if needed.

Working Hours

This position is for either the evening shift from 4 PM to midnight or the night shift from midnight to 8 AM, Monday through Friday.
