Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a Shipping Executive to join our team in Singapore, providing vital support to local and export shipping operations. This role involves handling invoicing processes and managing the documentation and transportation of Dangerous Goods (DG) according to regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the shipping department with invoicing and shipping-related duties for both local and international shipments.
- Prepare, audit, and confirm compliance of Dangerous Goods documentation in line with applicable regulations.
- Ensure Dangerous Goods shipments are properly classified, packed, marked, labelled, and declared.
- Collaborate with certified DG service providers and carriers to manage hazardous materials transportation safely.
- Coordinate shipping activities closely with Customer Service and Operations teams.
- Maintain communication with freight forwarders to ensure seamless shipment handling.
- Perform additional tasks as required by the department.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a Nitec or Diploma qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Have 0 to 2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations.
- Experience managing international import and export shipments is essential.
- Knowledge and experience in Dangerous Goods transportation and documentation are important.
- Certification in IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) or related training is preferred.
- Background in aerospace, manufacturing, chemical, or industrial sectors is advantageous.
