Role Overview

The Senior Solutions Engineer plays a pivotal role in driving Neo4j's expansion in the APAC region by crafting technical solutions that tackle sophisticated enterprise problems. Acting as the technical lead during pre-sales, this position advances beyond basic product demos to architect comprehensive, value-driven graph database solutions. Engaging with customers and strategic partners including major cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, the role involves designing integrated data ecosystems demonstrating measurable ROI of Neo4j's offerings. This position demands a blend of consultative technical expertise, sales savvy, and ecosystem collaboration to boost adoption and secure technical wins.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical success for complex enterprise accounts by conducting deep technical discovery, executing product demonstrations, and managing competitive positioning from evaluation through conversion.
• Develop, construct, and deliver proof-of-value prototypes, customized solution architectures, and technical workshops that effectively communicate Neo4j’s unique advantages.
• Collaborate closely with hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP), systems integrators, and independent software vendors (ISVs) to design joint solutions, participate in co-selling strategies, and provide technical enablement.
• Serve as the cross-functional technical coordinator by partnering with internal sales teams on deal evaluation and ensuring smooth architectural transitions to Professional Services and implementation teams.
• Advocate for Neo4j's technology by contributing to thought leadership, delivering presentations at webinars and industry conferences, and supporting local developer communities and marketing initiatives.
• Travel regionally up to 30-40% to customer sites and partner events to conduct technical workshops and advance strategic partnerships.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be a Singapore Citizen, Permanent Resident, or hold unrestricted work authorization in Singapore.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 7 years in pre-sales engineering, professional services, or customer-facing technical architecture roles.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, and JavaScript; container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes; and cloud infrastructure platforms.
• Experience engaging with both technical stakeholders and C-level executives during complex sales cycles.
• Skilled in guiding technical discovery and value-based selling aligning enterprise objectives with technical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical discipline.
• Extensive knowledge of graph databases (e.g., Neo4j) and familiarity with relational, NoSQL databases, and data visualization tools like D3.js or Linkurious.
• Track record of building go-to-market solutions and co-selling with hyperscalers, strategic ISVs, and global system integrators.
• Industry experience in heavily regulated sectors such as Financial Services, Retail, Government, Security, or Telecommunications.
• Additional language skills in Japanese, Mandarin, Cantonese, Bahasa, or Thai are advantageous due to the regional, client-facing nature of the role.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid setup.
