Role Overview

We seek a Senior Software Engineer specializing in TypeScript, Next.js, and Node.js to join our Engineering team in Munich. In this role, your contributions will enable a seamless online shopping experience, allowing users to identify Smart Shopping features that best match their needs via search, navigation, and personalized home pages. You'll be instrumental in crafting outstanding user journeys and empowering shoppers to make confident and smart purchase decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop modern systems utilizing NEXT.JS, AWS, microservices, NoSQL databases, and event-driven paradigms.
• Take full ownership of solution architecture aimed at enhancing performance, security, scalability, modularity, and operational efficiency.
• Lead feature development end-to-end, contributing to a robust product roadmap.
• Conduct knowledge sharing and practical exposure workshops on emerging technologies.
• Promote open communication, feedback exchange, and assist in resolving conflicts within the team.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of six years of professional software development experience.
• Expertise in Next.js and Node.js, including creating reusable component libraries based on an atomic design system.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and concurrent event-based architectures.
• Advanced proficiency in TypeScript, including its environment and type systems.
• Deep experience working with GraphQL.
• Strong architectural skills with a focus on design patterns.
• Fluent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Desired Additional Skills

• Familiarity with Apollo GraphQL.
• Experience in PHP Symfony framework.
• Experience working with AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Basic knowledge of SQL databases and schema-less data models.
• Understanding of end-to-end testing tools such as WebdriverIO or Selenium.
