Role Summary
You will be a key member of the inaugural Dublin engineering team focused on international markets like Canada and the UK. As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will engage in the full software lifecycle, delivering both frontend and backend solutions while helping shape the new office’s culture. You'll collaborate with product and engineering teams to create innovative dealer-facing products.
Key Responsibilities
- Create new full-stack features for dealer-facing products from the ground up.
- Expand existing systems using technologies such as React, TypeScript, and Java.
- Integrate third-party APIs and partner services efficiently.
- Modernize legacy systems with cloud technologies, including AWS.
- Participate in all software development phases from idea generation to deployment and maintenance.
- Ensure solutions are secure, maintainable, performant, and reliable.
- Investigate and solve complex production issues through observability and monitoring tools.
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers and actively contribute to defining team standards and processes for the new office.
Candidate Profile
- A minimum of five years developing full-stack software applications.
- Strong proficiency in Java, particularly using Spring Boot or Hibernate frameworks.
- Experience building dynamic, responsive frontends with React and TypeScript.
- Skilled in designing RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems; GraphQL experience is a plus.
- Deep understanding of databases (both SQL and NoSQL), caching mechanisms, and data structure design.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, along with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledgeable in CI/CD processes, automated testing, monitoring, and managing production services.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, communication, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
- Motivated to learn, lead projects, and continuously upskill.
- Bonus skills include experience with server-side TypeScript frameworks such as Remix, Next.js, or Express.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary range for this role is between €78,000 and €108,000 EUR. This may be supplemented with discretionary bonuses or incentives and equity awards via Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Salaries are influenced by location, relevant skills, experience, and education.
