About Gentrack and Our Culture

Gentrack Ltd has been a trusted partner to the world's leading utilities for over 35 years, serving more than 60 energy and water companies. Collaborating with Salesforce and AWS, we champion the development of g2.0, a comprehensive product-to-profit solution revolutionizing the utilities industry.

At Gentrack, our core values center on respect—for the planet, our customers, and each other. Our diverse and talented team thrives in a collaborative environment that encourages innovation, knowledge sharing, and quality delivery focused on generating meaningful impacts for customers, communities, and the environment.

Role Overview

We seek a Senior Project Manager to lead the design, management, and effective deployment of solutions related to the new G2 platform. Acting as a bridge between Gentrack's Product and Delivery Engineering teams and Salesforce, you will ensure projects adhere to defined scope, quality benchmarks, budgets, and timelines.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule project activities, defining roles and responsibilities to meet milestone targets.
  • Monitor project progress and quality, implementing sound project management practices and continuous improvements.
  • Embody modern agile principles through effective facilitation of meetings such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with product owners to prioritize backlogs and plan releases, and guide technical teams in solution development.
  • Lead client and internal project teams, fostering motivation, setting performance standards, and cultivating a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members, encouraging adoption of agile mindsets and techniques.
  • Report on financials including budgets, revenue margins, staff utilization, and project status.
  • Support sales efforts in bids and tenders, integrating project learnings back into pre-sale processes.
  • Build and nurture ethical, transparent, and outcome-focused delivery partnerships with customers, ensuring their interests and Gentrack’s are both safeguarded.
  • Actively promote Gentrack’s products and advocate best practices within the user community.
  • Support global sustainability initiatives by engaging teams in events, promoting awareness of the Sustainability Charter, and fostering participation in the Giki platform challenges.

Qualifications and Desired Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in ICT or related field.
  • Project management certification such as PRINCE2, PMI, or equivalent.
  • Experience managing projects using agile methodologies with strong backlog management skills.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM design and integration is advantageous though not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of the utilities sector (energy and/or water) is preferred but not essential.
  • Understanding of data migration and integration technologies, including Talend and Mulesoft, is a plus.
  • Excellent relationship management, strategic thinking, financial risk management, and communication abilities.
  • Competence in visual facilitation tools like impact mapping, storyboarding, and value-stream mapping.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual salary range of NZ$148,000 to NZ$178,000.
  • Opportunities for personal growth in leadership, commercial expertise, and technical excellence.
  • Be part of a globally expanding and vibrant organization with a collaborative culture.
  • Competitive remuneration that rewards high performance.
  • Meaningful contributions towards sustainability and societal impact.
