About the Role
Dell Technologies is seeking experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineers to join their Cork team. The Manufacturing Engineering department serves as a center of expertise focused on developing and supporting advanced manufacturing processes, equipment, automation, and test systems that drive production of liquid-cooled AI solutions at scale. As products evolve, the team expands capabilities in complex rack-level integration, liquid cooling, electrical power distribution, and automated manufacturing processes, ensuring safe and efficient operations with a strong emphasis on quality and continuous progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and collaborate with cross-functional and global engineering teams to develop and support manufacturing operations in Cork.
- Serve as the expert on manufacturing equipment, liquid cooling systems, and assembly procedures to ensure safe and reliable production lines.
- Drive the design and delivery of manufacturing processes, equipment capacity, and facility layout enhancements.
- Utilize problem-solving techniques, quality tools, lean manufacturing methods, and project management frameworks to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity and automation.
- Promote equipment reliability through preventative maintenance planning and operational excellence programs, coordinating with technical and operations staff.
- Perform other engineering duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent Level 8) in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of six years' experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, equipment engineering, or a related discipline.
- Excellent communication and influencing capabilities.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
- Fluent English proficiency, with strong written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project management experience.
- Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with liquid cooling technology, thermal management, heat exchangers, pumps, and fluid distribution systems.
