About Hach and Role Overview

As a Senior Manufacturing Cost Controller based in Berlin, you will be instrumental in the finance team, overseeing manufacturing cost accounting that supports the financial health of our plant operations on a global scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and update standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead, evaluating deviations from these benchmark costs.
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closings for cost-related accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to US GAAP, local GAAP, SOX, and internal policies.
- Partner with Plant Business Partners and Controllers to analyze production costs, raw materials, and operating expenses to identify opportunities for cost optimization.
- Work collaboratively with operations, supply chain, procurement, and finance departments to collect data essential for comprehensive cost analysis.
- Track inventory levels meticulously and resolve discrepancies to maintain precise valuation and reporting.
- Contribute to budget planning and forecasting with a focus on manufacturing costs and related expenditures.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is a prerequisite.
- Demonstrable experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing setting.
- Deep knowledge of accounting standards, cost evaluations, and financial reporting procedures.
- Familiarity with US GAAP, local GAAP standards, and SOX compliance.
- Proficient ERP skills, preferably with expertise in Oracle Fusion.
- Fluency in English; German language skills are preferred but not mandatory.
