Job description
Role Overview
As a Senior Manager in Sales Strategic Programs & Execution, you will spearhead the delivery of key strategic initiatives throughout the Asia-Pacific region. Your focus will be ensuring these initiatives align with commercial goals and driving their successful implementation across various departments including Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Editorial, Business Development, HR, Finance, Legal, and APAC leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Convert APAC leadership’s strategic objectives into actionable plans and ensure regional execution aligns with broader corporate goals.
- Develop comprehensive business cases, project timelines, milestones, and success criteria for strategic initiatives.
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and overall business performance.
- Manage complex cross-functional programs from start to finish, including formulation, execution, and review phases.
- Establish governance frameworks with clear reporting, risk management, and stakeholder accountability mechanisms.
- Monitor program progress, budgets, risks, dependencies, and resource use to meet targets on time and within scope.
- Serve as a key advisor to senior APAC leadership and maintain alignment among cross-departmental teams across geographies.
- Design and implement stakeholder communication strategies to facilitate engagement during the program lifecycle.
- Define and track key performance indicators to assess the impact and performance of strategic initiatives.
- Analyze business data to uncover trends and areas for improvement, driving continuous process and governance enhancements.
- Support organizational transformation efforts through change management planning and stakeholder adoption facilitation.
- Lead, develop, and mentor team members to foster a culture of responsibility, collaboration, and ongoing development.
Relationships
Internally, you will collaborate closely with APAC leadership, regional business heads, and multifunctional teams such as Commercial, Product, Operations, Technology, Finance, HR, Marketing, and Strategy & Transformation. Externally, you will engage with strategic partners, vendors, consultants, and relevant industry bodies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Strategy, Management, Economics, Engineering, or related discipline.
- At least 8 to 12 years’ relevant experience in strategy, program and project management, business transformation, marketing, commercial leadership, consulting, or operations.
- Proven track record managing regional/global strategic programs and influencing senior stakeholders across multiple functions and countries.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft 365, CRM platforms, project management tools, BI/dashboard solutions, and AI productivity applications, enabling clear executive reporting and actionable insights.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken; proficiency in Mandarin highly advantageous for APAC engagement.
Preferred
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent advanced business qualification.
- Certifications like PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Lean, or similar.
- Experience navigating a matrixed global corporate environment.
