Position Overview
This role of Senior Java Full Stack Developer involves designing, coding, testing, and maintaining software applications throughout the development lifecycle. The candidate will handle both front-end and back-end software development to fulfill customer needs, contributing to the entire software architecture, deployment, and continuous improvement processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Interact closely with customers to understand use-cases, pain points, and requirements, demonstrating user empathy to advocate for effective software solutions.
- Design, develop, and deliver solutions by applying various technologies, programming languages, and agile methodologies.
- Analyze software requirements to select appropriate technology stacks, deployment methods, and integration strategies.
- Create comprehensive high-level software architecture designs outlining system structure and interfaces.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including product owners, designers, and architects for successful project delivery.
- Define and enforce test strategies, policies, and processes aligned with organizational goals and industry standards.
- Continuously enhance application performance and adopt new technologies to boost development efficiency.
- Apply practices such as test-driven development (TDD), continuous integration (CI), and continuous delivery (CD) to maintain software quality.
- Implement robust security practices, including data encryption and anonymization, to protect user information.
- Develop user-friendly and interactive front-end interfaces and maintain back-end services like APIs and microservices.
- Investigate and integrate emerging technologies, contributing to innovation and solution enhancement.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proficiency in Spring Boot, React, GCP (Google Cloud Platform), PostgreSQL, and Java.
- Minimum of 6 years of IT experience with at least 4 years in development, demonstrating applied skills in either multiple coding languages or expert-level mastery in one.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and data modeling fundamentals.
- Familiarity with extreme programming (XP) practices and pair programming.
- Experience with advanced CI/CD pipelines using tools like Terraform, SonarQube, Maven, Gradle, and Apigee X.
- Exposure to multi-cloud environments such as GCP, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, AWS, and Azure.
- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
- Competence with front-end technologies including JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and UI tools such as Webpack, Redux, PrimeNG, and Bootstrap.
- Experience creating APIs and working with API gateways.
- Familiar with performance testing frameworks like Mocha, Jest, Jasmine, Karma, and JUnit.
- Understanding of cloud monitoring and troubleshooting tools including Splunk and Dynatrace.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with proven leadership and collaborative abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
- Previous experience within automotive industries, customer service, or extended service business IT systems.
- Familiarity with micro frontend and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with advanced frontend technologies like TypeScript and Next.js.
- Background in machine learning, mathematical modeling, and data analytics.
- Proficiency using Agile tools such as Jira and CA Agile Central/Rally.
Additional Information
- At least 8 years progressive experience in software engineering and architecture involving agile frameworks.
- Minimum 6 years of full stack development specifically using Core Java, Spring Boot, and React.js or Angular.
- Significant work with cloud services (GCP or similar) including Cloud Run, Cloud DB, Secret Manager, GCS, Big Query, and Terraform.
- Experience deploying software through tools like Tekton, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions.
