Role Overview
The company is looking for an accomplished Java Developer to become part of a proficient software engineering team. This hands-on position involves the design, development, and upkeep of enterprise-level applications and RESTful services using current Java technologies. A significant focus is placed on constructing scalable microservices and contributing to the continuous evolution of cloud-native and distributed application platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Java-based applications and REST APIs.
- Create scalable microservices with Spring Boot.
- Design strong application and data models.
- Implement Java design patterns and adhere to best coding practices.
- Handle builds and dependencies via Maven.
- Diagnose and enhance application performance.
- Work in collaboration with fellow developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
- Engage in code reviews, documentation efforts, and advocate continuous improvement.
Core Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Java development.
- Proficient in Core Java programming.
- Hands-on experience developing REST APIs.
- Expertise with Spring framework, including Spring Boot.
- Comprehensive understanding of microservices architecture.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and data modeling.
- Familiarity with Maven for project build management.
- Thorough understanding of Java design patterns.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
- Competence with version control systems like Git, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
- SQL proficiency and experience working with relational databases.
- Exposure to messaging systems such as Kafka.
- Background in automated testing and Agile delivery processes.
