About the Role

Caddick Construction Limited is a well-established family-run company known for its commitment to quality, integrity, and innovation in the construction sector. We are currently looking for a Senior Estimator to join our Preconstruction team located in the East Midlands. This role focuses on diverse Industrial and Logistics construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze tender documents thoroughly, evaluate potential risks and opportunities, and contribute to formulating bid strategies.
• Perform precise quantity take-offs, generate detailed cost estimates, and prepare comprehensive tender submissions.
• Communicate effectively with subcontractors and suppliers to gather competitive quotations and carry out price comparisons.
• Collaborate closely with construction and commercial teams to ensure project delivery methodologies align.
• Develop tender handover documentation for successful bids and assist project teams through the preconstruction phase.
• Utilize software tools including Conquest, Bluebeam/CostX, and Microsoft Excel for estimating processes and reporting.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven background in construction estimating, particularly with cost planning and two-stage tender processes.
• Comprehensive understanding of construction workflows and essential commercial principles.
• Competent in Microsoft Excel and estimation software such as Conquest and Bluebeam/CostX.
• Familiarity with contemporary construction contracts and procurement protocols.
