Role Summary
As a Qualcomm Hardware Engineer specializing in wireless IP verification, you will be responsible for comprehensive planning, designing, and verifying electronic systems, including digital, analog, RF, and test systems, supporting world-class products. This role involves collaborating across multiple teams to deliver solutions that meet key performance targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and validation of flagship Wireless IP covering technologies such as WAN, WLAN, GNSS, and Bluetooth.
- Manage the complete IP-level verification lifecycle, including design analysis, verification planning, and test bench development using SystemVerilog and UVM.
- Create assertions, execute simulations, and ensure coverage goals are met.
- Apply advanced verification methodologies, both formal and simulation-based, to enhance verification quality and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot RTL and testbench problems utilizing industry-standard debugging tools.
- Work closely with design, architecture, and cross-functional teams to achieve project deadlines.
- Maintain and improve verification environments to support scalability and reuse.
Qualifications and Experience
- Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or related fields from a recognized institute.
- Experience range: 2 to 12 years in hardware engineering or related areas.
Skills and Expertise
- In-depth knowledge of SystemVerilog/UVM and coverage-driven verification methodologies.
- Proven capability to build and maintain mid- to complex scale SV/UVM environments.
- Strong skills in crafting constraint-random tests and achieving closure on coverage metrics.
- Proficiency in using debugging tools like Verdi to resolve issues swiftly.
- Preferable exposure to wireless IP domains such as Wi-Fi, Modem PHY, DSP blocks.
- Familiarity with formal and static verification approaches.
- Experience with power-aware verification and gate-level simulations is highly valued.
- Competence in scripting languages like Python and Perl for automation purposes.
Soft Skills
- Effective communication and strong interpersonal abilities are required.
- Willingness to coordinate with global teams and adapt to varying workflows.
