Role Summary
The Senior Data Scientist role is multifaceted, involving hands-on solution development along with close collaboration with clients throughout their engagement. Responsibilities include platform onboarding, integration support, training, and co-creating data science projects from inception to deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to design and build production-ready data science projects.
- Investigate and analyze diverse datasets and machine learning use cases across industries.
- Guide users in mastering the Dataiku platform through trainings, support sessions, and consultations.
- Deliver data science expertise internally and externally, supporting sales and marketing efforts.
- Develop custom Python plugins, partnering with Solutions, R&D, and Product teams to extend platform capabilities.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Fluent English; fluency or native proficiency in Arabic is highly advantageous.
- Strong curiosity and eagerness to acquire new knowledge and skills.
- Empathetic approach with a passion for sharing knowledge with team members, clients, and the wider community.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- 2 to 10 years of hands-on experience with Python and SQL programming.
- 2 to 10 years of developing machine learning models, familiar with ML frameworks like sklearn.
- Experience with data visualization tools in Python and R.
- Understanding of foundational data technologies including cloud infrastructure, Hadoop, and SQL databases.
Additional Desirable Technical Expertise
- Background in consulting or customer-facing data science roles.
- Experience with data engineering or MLOps practices.
- Skills in building web applications using JavaScript, RShiny, or Dash.
- Experience developing APIs.
- Familiarity with enterprise-grade data science tools.
- Passion for public speaking or education-oriented roles.
