Job Role
- Utilize curiosity, rapid business process comprehension, and analytic expertise to design and implement impactful data science solutions.
- Lead the development and deployment of machine learning models within a team of skilled data scientists and engineers.
- Engage actively with stakeholders, converting business needs into technical requirements and regularly communicating results.
- Produce maintainable, high-quality code and guide junior team members through code reviews and paired programming.
- Enhance internal tools, shared libraries, and development workflows continuously.
- Adopt industry best practices including rigorous testing, thorough documentation, and ensuring full reproducibility.
Qualifications and Skills
- University degree in computer science, statistics, physics, or relevant fields with over three years' data science experience.
- Proficient software engineering skills: Python, SQL, CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and version control systems.
- Deep familiarity with open-source libraries: scikit-learn, PyTorch, PySpark, Jupyter, pandas, and Apache Airflow.
- Experience with big data technologies like Spark and Hadoop, alongside modern development methodologies.
- Expertise deploying machine learning models in production settings.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong enthusiasm for mentoring colleagues and elevating team performance standards.
- Fluent English and good command of spoken and written German.
